The Brooksy's Story
At Brooksy’s, we believe great pizza is equal parts craft and community. Built on a foundation of quality ingredients, genuine hospitality, and a love for simple, craveable food, Brooksy’s brings people together over the kind of meal that never goes out of style.
Our philosophy is simple: “New School Vibes, Old School Techniques.” We blend time-honored methods — scratch-made dough, slow fermentation, and a signature “Brooksy’s Style” bake — with a lively, modern atmosphere that’s all about connection. Think neighborhood energy meets restaurant-quality flavor.
From our signature pizzas and oven-baked wings to indulgent comfort dishes and small bites meant for sharing, Brooksy’s is all about familiar favorites done right — served in a space that feels fresh, social, and full of life.
Whether you’re grabbing takeout on the go or settling in with friends for a long night of great food and good company, Brooksy’s Pizza is your spot. Same soul, new energy.
Meet The Owner: Brooks Rice
For Brooks Rice — known to friends and guests simply as Brooksy — pizza isn’t just food; it’s a craft built on community, creativity, and connection.
Brooks got his start far from the restaurant world, working in golf retail before taking a leap into Boston’s food scene. He was hired to help launch STOKED — a no-frills wood-fired pizza truck, where he quickly discovered his passion for hospitality and the art of pizza-making. From there, he joined the team at Game On! and eventually becoming General Manager — an experience that taught him how to run a high-volume restaurant while never losing sight of the guest experience.
By 2019, Brooks was ready to bring his own vision to life. After years of learning, consulting, and refining his recipes, he opened the first Brooksy’s Pizza in Andover with business partner Jimmy Bonfilio — a warm, welcoming space designed for locals to gather over artisan pies, scratch-made comfort food, and great conversation. His signature “Brooksy’s Style” pizza blends the best of both wood-fired and coal-fired traditions: smoky, crisp, chewy, and unmistakably his own.
For Brooks, success comes down to people. “My ideal situation is where both the customer and the employee are happy,” he says. “It’s about creating a local watering hole where everyone feels welcome — when you look across the room and see people from all walks of life enjoying themselves, that’s what it’s all about.”
With the opening of Brooksy’s Pizza Belmont, Brooks continues to build on that mission — bringing his signature hospitality, energy, and dedication to quality to a new neighborhood, one slice at a time.
